Midwest New Media builds e-commerce site for Mike-sell's Potato Chip Co.

February 16, 2010

Mike-sell's Potato Chips, the oldest potato chip maker in the United States, has launched a new e-commerce site, the product of a collaborative effort between RGI, Inc., and Midwest New Media.

The site, located at www.mike-sells.com, was designed by RGI and developed by Midwest New Media. It includes a custom shopping cart system and an extensive collection of content management and reporting tools.

The online store features a wide variety of snack foods and apparel, which can be shipped anywhere in the lower 48 states. Customers have the option of purchasing potato chips by the case, or building their own case, consisting of their six favorite chip varieties.

Mike-sell's Potato Chip Company was founded in 1910 by Daniel W. Mikesell, who was a seller of dried beef and sausages before buying potato chip equipment. The company is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
